I've been playing guitar since 2008 and recording music since 2013. For years, I heard songs in my head that I couldn't get onto a record — the gap between imagination and execution was too wide.
In 2021, I started building the tools to close it. SongCreator is a composition engine that generates guitar songs from scratch using music theory, scale logic, and playability rules I programmed into it. GuitarSesh is a guitar rhythm game where you plug in a real guitar and it detects every note you play in real time. My first two albums proved the concept worked, but the tools were too simple to capture what I actually wanted to write.
I started writing Resting Place in February 2022 and spent the next four years building the album and both tools at the same time. SongCreator evolved to handle repeating time signatures, interval logic, theory constraints, and three guitar arrangements that interact — one plays harmony, another shadows the melody, a third echoes what came before. GuitarSesh grew into a full game with GPU rendering and frame-perfect accuracy. This is the first album I recorded entirely through the game itself, because it was finally precise enough to capture every note.
Twenty tracks. 19,318 notes. Four years of building something that could finally play what I've been hearing all along.
Rhythm detection is in early access alpha — accuracy scores may be lower than actual performance.
